OPPORTUNITIES for CHANGE is offered as part of the Provincial Family Violence Treatment Program

To be eligible for group, you need to be one of the following:

  • Court mandated and referred through the Alberta Community Corrections Office
  • Referred by Alberta Children Services
  • Self-referred (when program is available)

If you are interested in the program, please send us an email.

You will be contacted to see if you fit our mandate and will then be interviewed to determine if the program will fit your needs.

The Interviewer/Group Facilitator will:

  • Welcome you at the door (or on ZOOM)
  • Be approachable and non-judgmental
  • Treat you with respect and dignity
  • Have a chat with you about your situation
  • Ask what you would like to get out of group
  • Answer any questions you may have
  • Show you the group room and facility
  • Describe what group will be like
  • Show you the group materials
  • Advise you of the group expectations for sharing and attendance
